Bond Business Setup

How We Work

Nine stages,
and you always know which one you are in.

Company formation in the UAE is a sequence of approvals, not a single transaction. We set out every stage in advance — what we handle, what needs you, what it costs and how long it takes — then work through it without surprises.

The Journey

Nine stages, fromtrade licence toa company trading.

Establishing a company in the Emirates is not difficult. It is sequential — and sequence is where most people lose time.

From the first consultation to the ninth year of trading, the same adviser holds the file. We tell you at the outset what each stage requires, how long it realistically takes, what we need from you and what we will handle without troubling you again. Nothing is outsourced to a queue. Nothing is discovered late. Every mandate is guided personally, and the relationship continues long after the licence is issued — through accounting, compliance, residency and whatever the business becomes next.

Stage one · A private consultation, without obligation

01One meeting

Discovery consultation

Understanding the business before recommending anything.

The first conversation is not a sales meeting. We ask where revenue will be earned, who will own the company, who needs residency, and what must remain true in five years. From that we can tell you plainly what is straightforward and what will require care.

Your part
Your objectives and timeline
Ours
An honest assessment, in writing
02Two to four days

Business structure

Mainland, free zone or offshore — chosen for reasons, not habit.

Jurisdiction determines what you may invoice for, who may own the shares, how you are taxed and which bank will take you seriously. We set out the options side by side with their costs, visa allocations and obligations, then recommend one and explain why.

Your part
A decision, made with full information
Ours
Comparative options and a recommendation
03Three to seven days

Planning & documentation

Every paper prepared before a counter is approached.

Trade name reservation, initial approval, memorandum drafting, shareholder documentation, attestations and translations — assembled in the order the authority expects. Delays in the Emirates almost always begin with a file presented incomplete.

Your part
Passports and signatures
Ours
The complete application file
04Five to fifteen days

Government coordination

Submissions and approvals handled on your behalf.

Our liaison desk works daily with the Department of Economy and Tourism, the free-zone authorities, immigration, MOHRE and the ministries that hold activity-specific consents. You are told what has been submitted, what is pending and what is approved.

Your part
Nothing to chase
Ours
Submissions, follow-up and status reporting
05On approval

Business licence

The licence issued, the registrations completed.

Licence issue, chamber of commerce registration, establishment card and — where relevant — the corporate tax and VAT registrations that must follow within statutory deadlines. Originals are delivered to you with a schedule of every renewal date.

Your part
A company that may legally trade
Ours
Licence, card, registrations and renewal calendar
06One to three weeks

Visa services

Residency for you, your family and your team.

Entry permits, status change, medical screening, biometrics and Emirates ID — sequenced around your travel rather than the other way round. Investor, employment and family files run in parallel so a household and a team arrive together.

Your part
Two short appointments
Ours
The full immigration sequence
07Two to six weeks

Corporate banking

Introductions to institutions that understand the structure.

We prepare the compliance file — business profile, source of wealth, ownership chart, projected activity — and introduce you to relationship managers whose appetite genuinely matches your profile. We remain present through the review and answer queries on your behalf.

Your part
One interview, well prepared
Ours
Bank matching, file preparation, follow-through
08From day one

Operational readiness

Accounting, payroll, tax and compliance in place from month one.

Books opened under IFRS, payroll and WPS configured, VAT and corporate tax positions documented, UBO and substance filings diarised. Nothing is reconstructed at year end because nothing was left until then.

Your part
Monthly reporting you can read
Ours
Ledgers, filings and a compliance register
09Ongoing

Business growth

A standing relationship, not a closed file.

Second entities, branches, new activities, additional jurisdictions, restructuring before an investment round or a succession. The adviser who established the company remains the adviser you call — which is why most of our work each year comes from clients we already have.

Your part
Counsel before decisions, not after
Ours
Retained advisory and expansion planning

Begin

Bring us the objective. We will tell you what it takes.

An hour with a senior adviser, in our Sheikh Zayed Road offices or by call — with a written assessment of structure, cost and timeline to follow. No obligation, and no proposal you did not ask for.

Continue

A process can be described. Confidence has to be earned.

Inside the work

What each stage actually looks like

The sequence below follows a live file from first consultation to the first compliance calendar — the rooms, the counters and the documents involved at each point.

Consultation · Al Qouz, Dubai

Stage one

The first conversation

We begin with your commercial intent — what you sell, where you invoice from, who needs residency — and set the shape of the file before a single form is opened.

Trade name and activity approval paperwork prepared for a UAE licence application

Name and activity · Approvals

Stages two to four

Structure, name, activity

Jurisdiction, legal form, trade name and licensed activities are settled together, so nothing is later reopened at cost. Approvals are filed in the order the authorities expect.

Licensing · Trade licence issued

Stage five

Licence and establishment card

Your trade licence and establishment card are issued and checked line by line against the approved structure before they reach you.

A residency visa appointment attended at a Dubai medical and Emirates ID centre

Residency · Medical and Emirates ID

Stages six and seven

Residency and PRO

Entry permits, medicals, Emirates ID and dependants' files are scheduled and attended on your behalf, with each appointment confirmed in advance.

Banking · Corporate account

Stage eight

Corporate banking

We prepare the introduction the way a compliance officer reads it: clear ownership, plausible flows, evidenced source of funds. Fewer questions, faster onboarding.

Corporate tax registration and accounting records under review at Bond's Dubai office

Compliance · Tax and accounts

Stage nine

Tax and ongoing compliance

Corporate tax registration, VAT where relevant, bookkeeping and renewal dates are placed on a calendar we keep — so the second year is as quiet as the first.
